26 years
old and a native of Minnesota, Andy began playing bass guitar at age 11,
first taking lessons with his father and soon taking private lessons. He
was initially inspired by hard rock and heavy metal music. Around age
16 he began gigging in original metal bands at different venues in the
Twin Cities.
For many years he continued to play on the original metal music circuit
in various bands before deciding to enroll at McNally Smith College of
Music. He received a scholarship
after his first semester and performed a violin piece for the National
Association of Schools of Music.
Over the
last three years, he has been playing in variety and cover bands,
putting aside the metal music. Now he's really excited to be the new pounding force behind Arch Allies.
